Margazhi season has got into my head

Guess this year I attended so many music and dance concerts that I started dreaming of them.Last night I dreamt Sudha Raghunathan singing to a single-woman-audience(me!) and she had only a violin and flute as her accompaniments. No mridangam. Wow.. what a twist in the tale! I just cant digest the fact that my mind is capable of producing nonsense even in my dreams.

Housemover

I'm going to officially change the name of this blog to "sundae's dream diary" since i'm the only one posting.. It's ironic that I'm the one who doesn't have a personal blog..
So last night, I dreamt that my family moved into my neighbour's house. They were moving to some other country or something and they sold us their house. And I was so darn happy about it, cos I was thinking that it's much much better than my previous house (which is just next door).. There are only 2 houses next to ours so only 2 families walk past our doors (if it was my previous house, 3 families will keep walking past our door).. All the spotlights in the living room were working in the new home (my previous house had half the spotlights out and no one had the patience to figure out how to repair them).. And there were painters working to paint the living room a nice shade of green..
Ok, then I woke up in the morning.. walked with my eyes half-closed to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I then opened my eyes, picked up my toothbrush and realised I was in my neighbour's house. That thought shocked me so much that I banged into the washing machine. The washing machine looked really, really familiar. Then it hit me, that I was in my house (phew!) and that when I dreamt of moving into my neighbour's house I was actually dreaming of moving into my house.. The "new" house that I saw in my dream was not my neighbour's house, it's actually the one I'm staying in right now.. The "my previous house" in my dream is actually my neighbour's house in reality (though they don't have spotlights in their house)
Confused? Hahaha.. tell me abt it.. Almost gave me a headache trying to separate dream from reality..

My dreams are getting weirder and weirder huh? Atleast I don't dream of being hunted by a serial killer anymore.. thankgodforthat!

terribly fantastic horror

This is the most vivid dream i've ever had for a long time.. Let me hear you trying to interpret this one.

The dream begins with me looking at a group of youngsters. They are scared, they are climbing stairs to enter the 4th floor. It feels like i'm just watching them, as if this was a movie and i'm watching it.. So after a few moments, I come to realise that they are all locked up in the building by a psycho serial killer. They've just received instructions from the killer to go to the 4th floor. I'm thinking "Oh this is the movie se7en, the killer kills them when they reach the 7th floor, but of course these ppl don't know it"
(Note: No, that is not what the movie se7en is about. It's about a serial killer killing ppl for committing the seven deadly sins.)
So we all enter the floor (It still seems like I'm watching a movie).. There are grotesque displays of ppl's skins.. Yes, just the face peeled off ppl and displayed. They all have expressions of terror on their faces..And yes there's blood still on the skin.. Oddly though, none of us seem to be that affected by it all. Sure, we're gasping and saying "oh my god" but I'm still thinking of this all as a movie. so we move through the floor, which is just one big room with a extension that looks like a balcony. Everyone moves around without much fear, somehow knowing for sure that the serial killer is not there. (And I'm quite sure at this point that there is only one villian here) Even more oddly, after a few moments, everyone kind of settles down and the horrible displays mentioned are no longer visible. Then this figure comes to the door of the room slowly and extends his hand towards us, something is in his hand. A girl goes to get it and comes back with a wind chime-like thing in her hand. It's got colourful boxes and procession vehicles (in tamil called "thaer"). It actually looks really nice.

Suddenly I realise that it's dangerous, that she'll be killed next if she had that thing in her hand. So everyone (including me) starts yelling at her to break it. When she tries to throw it on the floor, it doesn't break. Then she goes to the balcony and attempts to throw it away. Guess what? It comes back to her, and now she has TWO of that horrible thing. So this guy realises that if we keep the smaller boxes inside the bigger ones, they'll somehow merge. And it seems important for her to have as few pieces as possible. So the guy and the girl start putting small colourful boxes into bigger colourful boxes, and the smaller ones disappear with a little glow. Suddenly, the guy thrusts 2 boxes into my hand and asks me to do what they did. That's when I realise with a start that I'm now there! That I'm part of the group. What's worse, the smaller box only partially disappears when I try. So the guy takes it back and tries to do something to it.

The next thing I remember, there are more ppl there now, of all ages. One of them is trying to communicate with the outside world with a computer-like ancient looking thing. And i'm thinking "either the girl who got the wind chime, the guy who tried to fix it or the person who's trying to work with the computer is going to be next on the killer's hit list" It's like a gross mystery. I wonder why no one seems to be thinking of escaping. Next thing I know, the entire group is gathered in a corner lit by dim greenish light. They're finally thinking of escaping. There are small kids there now. Again, I'm back to watching this as a movie. They plan to let the kids talk about false attempts, spread rumours that the killer will hear and be fooled. Then I conclude "Ok, so they'll somehow fool the guy and escape, I think I've seen this before"

And as suddenly as it had begun, the dream ended.

The Mystic Dance

Honestly, something is seriously wrong with me. I keep dreaming the most insane, stupid and nonsensical things one could never imagine even in his/her wildest dreams. The day before yesterday I had a very weird dream. In the dream, I had gone to a lab/hospital to undergo some sort of a test . The tests actually involved the doctors pricking your lips with the help of a sterilised needle . And after doing that unforgivable thing ,they ask you to *ahem* sing . I dunno for what reason I underwent that test . All I remember was that the name of the test was liposuction. ( i just googled and found out that liposuction has nothing to do with lips *scratches head* .Weird!)

What happens next is the most important part of the dream. Do you know Sadagopan Ramesh? He played for the Indian Cricket team about 6 or 7 years back. Currently he plays for the Tamil Nadu team . He also comperes the "Kalakku Povadhu Yaaru", a comedy show on Star Vijay . Enough of him, back to the dream. So this Sadagopan Ramesh enters the hospital and starts dancing with the nurse! Right there; In the middle of the lab with patients all around! The music is the most romantic piece I have ever heard. It's from the movie 'True Lies' starring Arnold Schwazzenegar. The dance was something, I have never experienced before. It was sooo emotive. It was a romanticism of slow movements. And the two of them were soooooo good at it that it looked like they were either gliding or floating. The way they moved was as smooth as the swans gliding along the lake. Especially Ramesh who would have made even Brad Pitt jealous ( in my dreams, of cors! Lol!) with the fluid movements of his arms around her and the way they both bent… wow… “Such is Life” clearly lost to this absolutely marvelous piece of dance my mind had choreographed ..words can’t express the feeling man. It looked soooo real that I woke up all disoriented. I couldn’t believe I wasn’t there in the hospital watching the two dancing! I can still see them dancing if I closed my eyes now. I have never remembered any other dream better!

canoe, canoe, canoe

me, ash and naz are out canoeing.. we've already crossed the Pacific ocean in our canoes and now we're near Singapore.. and suddenly we're in Changi Airport.. and can see the plane taking off all, and we canoe right across the runway.. of course, we had to carefully control the speed of our canoe so that we pass across the runaway before/after the plane takes off (strangely enuff there were no planes landing) but of course we still take the risk because, hey, how often do you get to canoe across the runway?

so we canoe, canoe, canoe, and we're over water already.. so we decide to canoe to antarctica since it's so near (we're still near singapore).. and we do exactly that.. and then we reach this area where suddenly it goes frm very warm (tropical waters) to very cold (antarctic waters) - it does amaze me how our brain can simulate outside temperature so accurately-and naz suddenly realises "ash! we can't canoe to antarctica, we're only wearing a tshirt and shorts!"but ash says "so what, other ppl have done it" we see houses (floating in the ocean) and we approach the ice-mass of antarctica.. and it's completely black. the water is blue, but the ice is black, and the houses are black.. but ash and naz doesn't seem to mind it.. then we turn immediately back towards singapore because i seem to think that would be a good idea..

and in 1 minute or so, we again pass over the imaginary border and feel very warm again. and of course, we're in the airport and we've to cross the runway.. and suddenly from out of nowhere,i'm cycling! i just cycle across the airport and guess what's next to the airport? NUS! So now, i'm cycling recklessly through NUS.. up the slopes AND the steps.. finally i realise ash and naz are not behind me and i turn back.. and i CARRY the cycle down the steps and wonder if maybe those two got hit by a car.. and of course i just HAD to wake up at that moment..
